Anyone know where i can get front and rear white bowties for my 2012 silverado?
Well there is two ways u can go and that is to remove them from your truck and paint them or look on e bay and see if u can find some white overlays to cover the up. There might be some other GMCT members that have some other ideals.
08_Rado_Rocker was looking as well and I looked around when he asked. It's going to be really hard to find some already painted white unless you get lucky on ebay or CL by someone who's just selling the ones they already painted. As mentioned above, you can paint them or get an overlay. I'd recommend either of the two routes. There are a couple write-ups in the How To section done by members who painted their emblems.
To be honest, I think this is a huge gap in the aftermarket community as I believe anyone offering painted emblems paint matched to GM paint codes would make a killing, but maybe it's a licensing issue with GM. Who knows?
I'm sorry I can't point you write to a vendor that sells them, but hope this helps a bit.
FInd a good Custom pint shop and talk to their best painter. ask what it would take to shoot them on a break or after hours.
I suggest you remove and paint them, yourself. There are plenty of guides on the Internet as to how to prep and paint things ... and the removal is not bad. Materials will be cheap, too, as it's some sand paper, some water, some matched paint, some clear coat, and some time. In the process you'll learn a new skill, which is a bonus.
P.S. White is one of the most forgiving colors to match; many who do custom bowties use rattle cans for it because of the ease of matching white. That makes it yet again cheaper than paint matched to your paint code.
