Ive tried looking around for it, has anyone heard or seen this?
In the stock bumper? I dont thing there is enough room to fit a winch worth having IMO. Look into a Curt front mounted hitch and do a cradle setup.
I want something clean there looked like enough room. But I'd do with a full replacement if I can't do this
The Warn hidden winch carrier kit (http://www.warn.com/truck/mounting-systems/chevy_gmc_semihiddenkit.shtml) is likely what you seek. It's not offered for NNBS trucks.
They appear only have the Trans4mer kit (http://www.warn.com/truck/mounting-systems/trans4mer_mount.shtml) available for half ton NNBS trucks ...and Trans4mer Gen II for 2500's and up.
There is very few options for us NNBS guys to mount a winch.
Thatvfirstvone for the old silverado is what I'm looking for. I think I might try to replace the center section of the bumper with a metal piece that'll hold the bumper. I'm gunna take it apart today and see what's possible, but I winch will fit back there
Did you have any luck with this project?
No i ended up getting fab fours bumpers. I have yet to mount them I'm cutting it close on tire clearance to begin with and the added weight will make me scrub. Waiting to install when I lift.
Gotcha. Thanks. I want to retain the factory look of this truck for now. I would like to add a winch and was hoping to go this route, but it looks like receiver mount may be the best option.
