2004 Suburban with the factory wiring for the trailering package. I would like to charge a battery on a trailer as I tow it.

Does anyone know if these trucks came with a charge circuit prewired that I can use in the existing 7 pin harness.

    Thanks,

    David

    David,

You have to run a fused wire from the battery back to the plug.

There is a red wire to the trailer connector identified as a "BAT". It is a larger gauge than the others (looks like a #12 awg). There is no voltage on it, even with the ignition on.

I would think this terminates somewhere, hopefully in the fuse box.

    Anybody know?

    Thanks,

    David

Look in the Power Distribution Box for a missing fuse. The truck is delivered without this fuse and you need to install one.
