haha i know the definatly sounds like an electrical problem to check the battery cable and make sure there are no loose wires on the alternator.if it still doesnt do it id try a new battery

Had the same problem with my 97 silverado.... put a new starter on and it did the same thing... Finally traced it back to the battery cables at the battery.... they were corroded and weren't getting enough juice through to the starter... I would definately try to clean those and the battery posts really well and spray some wd-40 on it and put them back before I bought a new battery.

    hope this helps
