I went for an oil change yesterday and they told me the passenger side front wheel bearing severely worn. I planned to get it fixed today (as old one under warranty, so was going to go back to where I bought it to buy new one and then bring back old), but the weather had other ideas. My husband got his vehicle stuck in our drive so I let him take my truck to town to do papers last night. White out conditions- he went into 3 ft deep drift in an addition and got stuck. Tow trucks would not come out, but the town eventually showed to plow and they got a back hoe to pull my truck out. He parked across highway at business as our lane drifted over. The business had to move my truck and called my son on my work phone I left in the truck and said it felt like power steering was out. Hubby went over to get my truck after they plowed our lane...he said power steering out also....actually because he could not steer fast enough when the truck slid on the lane (it drifted again) he wound up going off road and now waiting for tow truck to get him out. My question is would a worn wheel bearing cause it to act like power steering out or is this a different issue?
