I love my avalanche but it has problems with heating like the blend door just quit working and started smelling antifreeze in cab yesterday, unhooked battery to see if it changes anything , nothing so I'm assuming clogged heater core or blend door , help lol.

Hats what I was thinking it's a small one and you can't smell it every day but just before the cool air started with heater is when it happened thanks for the info

I'd flush the heater core and test it for leaks

Ok could be a loose hose as well right

Yes it could, that leak would show under the hood.
