This is the second week in a row where the check enging light has come on shortly after a fill up. I used different brands of fuel and the gas cap seemed to be secure. It stayed on for about a day last week. Any ideas?

If you are sure the cap is on tight, try replacing the gas cap!!

What DTC codes are you reading? Go to any good auto parts store, like AutoZone and they will read the codes for free. Or better yet spend a few dollars for your own code reader like this one at Amazon.com for $25

I was told that if you let your gas cap click more then 4 times it sets off the Check Engine Light, it has something to do with pressure i was told. Try loosening it and click it 3-4 times and see if that helps the issue. I do this and ive not had a problem. I dont know just a thing to try i guess. Cheers!
