my 5.7 liter has 35 psi oil pressure when cold, as it warms up it drops to 10. i just bought it and have driven it only 10 miles or so until the pressure get to the bottom of the gage. it will rise if i increase the rpms.

I'd try an oil change using the correct viscosity and synthetic oil.

And, it could be a bad pressure sensor, try a mechanical gauge to read the real pressure.

the engine has wear on the crankshaft bearings. .. as the engine heats up the oil pressure drops. if your engine has 250-350K miles on it then that is your problem .
use a 15-40wt oil when it is with these high miles .. then look for another truck or engine .
use a pure one purolator oil filter for more oil flow.. oil pressure should be above 20 psi....if your pressure is 10 psi the bearings will wear out and then the engine will be dead...
