I have a 4 speed transmission and a transfer case for a 1986 suburban 3/4 ton. Does anyone have any idea what they are worth? They are used in working condition. They are not for sale, I'm just curious because I can't find a straight answer.
There're going to be worth whatever the market will bear, & that will depend on how many miles are on them, what kind of shape they're in, & where you live. Geographic location/population has a lot to do with what an item will sell for.
Assuming it's a 700R4 with a NP241 or something similar (TH400 with an NP208 for example), they are most definitely not worth more than $1000 total. However, like Stephan said, it's whatever the local market will bear depending on lots of factors, especially how many other people are trying to get rid of similar transmissions and transfer cases.
