Does anyone know why a 1995 Sonoma automatic with a 4.3 wont fit a 1996 Sonoma with the same options. Both trans are m30 and both have v6 engines, Why is 1995 all by itself in interchanging it? anyone??
In the 95 to 96 and on to the 98 time frames, GM was making the switch from the 700R4 to the 4L60E transmissions. The M30 should mean the 4L60E.
Where does it not fit?
Some of the bell housings were different, some of the tail pieces were different.
