Pulling my 350 TBI from my 95 z71 pickup and swapping everything over onto a 92 G20 van 350 TBI. All I'm using is the block and heads from the van. I was starting to swap everything over and realized that my headers from my 95 dont quite line up with the holes on the 92 block. They're clearly off a little bit. I didnt assume they would be different and like an idiot I threw away all the parts off the 92 engine since nothing was really any good and I had intentions of using all the parts off my 95. I tried googling it but didn't have any luck. Is there a difference between the 2 blocks? I forgot what the headers looked liked from the 92 engine I wouldn't be surprised if they were a little different being a van engine but as far as bolt holes go I assumed they'd be indentical. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated or if yall know of any other surpises I might run into as I continue swapping parts over.

Sorry. Heads. Not block.

Headers don't bolt to the block. They bolt to the heads. If I understand you correctly you're moving all engine accessories to the van. Are they in fact both 350s? Could one be a 305?

Run the casting numbers from both heads to see which would be better. Just guessing but I would think the 95 heads might be a better choice.

I know. I tried to correct myself before anyone replied. But I dont know how to edit so I just replied to my own post. Dont know why I kept saying block. Anyways no it is a 350. And I cant use the heads from the 95. They arent off by much but enough.

OK. Is it possible the 95 is a Vortec? I know they take a different intake manifold but not sure about the exhaust. And are we talking about headers or exhaust manifolds?
