I don't deal with the boat anchors much but a couple thoughts, if the ignition area can't breath at all, it can actually CREATE condensation internally. Although I don't know San Antonio, either (atmospheric conditions). Second, it may be a good time to look at a tool with some data logging, or at least a scope and some long shielded leads. And a good multi meter. Never a better time to learn, than with the fire at your feet. Also the grease in the cap, just on the "button" right, or over all the surfaces? Also, if you are interested in trying to chase down the problem, rather than buying parts and seeing if they work, I'm sure the specifics can be found. Seems like people generally enjoy being helpful here.
