I have 120,000 on my K1500. The truck runs great and the transmission is fine except when I go highway speeds for an extended length of time. After I come off the highway I get a hard shift into 1st and 2nd gears. If I stop and turn the car off for 1 minute the problem is gone. Can anyone help me with this.
Thanks,

How often do you service the transmission? Have you ever changed the fluid and filter? If its been awhile since you've done it, go ahead and dump a can of Sea Foam Trans Tune in it and then change the fluid and filter. It has saved me $$ and improved the way my tranny shifts.
