2000 Silverado power lock issue

I'm wondering if anyone can help me figure out why the driver side door lock will not engage when the button is pressed. It makes a buzzing sound everytime I go to lock the truck; then I have to manually lock the door

It sounds like the motor is shot. If it still locks manually then its not the latch.
