Hey ya'll truck isn't starting. Would crank no problem and sometimes start up and die. Replaced the fuel pump but still no fuel pressure to the engine. Could it be a bad wire connection, clogged fuel filter, or anything else?

the fuel pumps installed at factory on these are now GM defective .. so GM made a new replacement . these use new electrical connections .

the connector installed at the fuel tank top must be soldered and sealed with a heat shrink tube seal. the top of the fuel tank holds all sorts of nasty corrosive crap. now the other GM defect is the ground straps vaporize due to corrosion .. I had to replace these with soft fine copper wire, not exposed copper like GM used ..

if with meter no power at the fuel pump then the fuel relay / fuse etc..

fuel filter must be replaced with a new fuel pump .. fuel filter much cheaper less work than the pump .fuel filter 40K miles to replace ..GM never stated the fuel filter replacement required .. big fail on that !
