I have a 2002 sierra that runs fine but when I shut it off everything shuts off but 2 seconds later everything(lights, heater motor, radio) but the engine comes back on again for about 2 minutes then shuts down. It has taken its toll on the battery and will need replacing but looking for info if anyone has had similar issues.

replace the ignition switch . remove it inspect for springs messed up or linkage to it.

Yeah either the switch or one of the RAP relays.
