2002 Tahoe cabin noise

I have a 2002 Tahoe LS with 65,000 miles. I purchased the vehicle in 2004 with 17,000 miles. At that time it had a very intermittent noise, (squeak) that sounded like it came from the drivers side under the dash or seat. The noise is no longer intermittent but constant. I've done everything to find this noise except remove the drivers seat. (it's a power adjust seat). Has anyone else had this type of problem and what was done to fix it?

The dash is attached on that side in about 3 different places with bolts, or nuts.

That could be your problem, maybe.

Sometimes pulling the seat is the easiest thing to do, compared to the fixing.

I installed a remote starter in my wife club wagon van and it made life so much easier to just pull the four seat bolts and seat so I could lay down and do the work.

You may find that the case here.

I also replased the dash on a 93 Buick with a buddy and it made the whole proccess easier.
