On my 2003 Silverado 2500HD if I push my heated seat button on the drivers side it will light up for a second then I hear clicking under the seat and it will go off. But if I move the electric seat forward and backward and push the heated seat button it will stay on. Any suggestions??? I've already replaced the bottom element.

Sounds like a ground problem, check the wires under the seat.

EDIT: well, after reading the thread on seat repairs, I retract the above statement. That system is too complicated to offer a guess, it will require circuit tracing.

Yea, I checked the wiring under the seat and didn't see anything.

Replaced the back element and everything is working, still not sure how it could back feed and stay on with the seat moving, but its fixed now.

Hmmmmmm, must have been a broken wire that got replaced when the heating element was changed.
