I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado and it won't shift out of second, rpms went to 5K and hot oil light came on. Help?

How many miles and what's your engine/tranny configuration?

X2 on what Steve said. Can't help with out a little more info. Based on what you have told us you need a tranny rebuild and it is probably a bad idea to drive it very long in second gear. You will probably turn around 5000 rpms and the oil light might come on.
