My rear wiper blade like many over the years malfunctions or they fall off. Mine was not moving. I noticed all I needed to do was lubricate the arm and now it works fine. After lubricating just move the arm some to work it in. The water spray was working fine. Used PB Blaster.

My 2001 Burb with the barn doors has no wiper.
The rear glass gets really dirty whenever it rains.
I wish it had one coz I like the barn doors.

All three of my burbs have had barn doors. There's really no reason they couldn't have put wipers on them if they'd wanted to. (my Expy has a rear wiper, of course it doesn't work)

this is the fourth one I've owned over the years...and the first one thats had a working rear wiper. all have had tailgates, I never would have guessed that it only needed to be lubricated

My 06 didnt work when I bought it. I pulled back the wiring cover and had two broken wires between the roof and tailgate. I soldered in jumpers where they shorted out in the plug and used heat shrink to seal it.

I've only used my rear wiper once just to see how it worked. I haven't seen a real need for it, or had any visibility issues without it. I guess if you have an environment where you kick up lots of muddy water, this would be helpful. I don't live in a climate that gets snow, or lots of rain, but if I did, I'd probably use it.

Straight dust is worse than muddy water. In fact there are artists who use the dusty rear windows of SUVs as their medium.
