Twice now my Tahoe 122,000 miles has not started ( it cranks but wil not start), both times I had about a 1/4 tank of gas and it had sat for a day. The first time I had it towed and it started up for the mechanic, the second time I added 2 gallons of gas it did not start then I added 2 more gallons and it started. The first time the mechanic checked the pump pressure and said it was around 56psi. I found a tech bulletin about restricted fuel strainer for flex fuel vehicles. Is it worth getting the fuel strainer kit changed and not doing the fuel pump? It seems like the plugged strainer seems like the problem.
