Hey guys and gals. I have a 2003 Tahoe with 180,000 miles. Recently I had a wheel speed sensor on my front left go out. I havent had to do a wheel speed sensor so I am not even sure how to do it yet. I got a quote at my trusted mechanics shop of $250 or so. I can get it from rockauto for 30 not including shipping. Which do you guys think is more worth it? Pay to get it done, or Do it myself?

You should be able to do it yourself. The sensor sits on the hub in close proximity to the reluctor. Jack it up on a stand and take a few minutes to study it. Not difficult at all.

I taught my son how to change the entire hub assembly in a little over an hour’s time. The speed sensor came with the hub.

There’s a hex or Torx screw holding the sensor into the hub.

Piece of cake.
