My sister-in-law has a 2005 GMC yukon with a v8. When she drives and lets off the gas pedal, it will continue at that speed. At idle it will want to surge forward somewhat. Could this be the throttle position sensor. No check engine light either. It doesn't shift right sometimes she told me. Thanks for any replies.

Have you brought this concern to the attention of your local dealer? There are many benefits to taking a vehicle to your local dealership. You can guarantee that technicians are certified and that the parts come with a GM parts warranty. For these reasons, I would recommend taking the vehicle to your local dealership to be diagnosed. They should be able to assist you further and have a plan for addressing the issue. I can also look into this issue further. In order to do more research, I will need some more specific information from you such as your name, address, phone number, the VIN for the vehicle, current mileage, and dealer name. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact me either on the thread or via private message. Thank you.

What v8 does she have in the vehicle? I've noticed there seems to be a difference, wanted to see what she's got.

I don't know what size v8 and I know she won't know. I will have to check into it and get back to you. It is probably the smallest. Do I check it with the vin? Thanks for all the replies.
