Here is my basic problem and I am sure I am missing something. Let me set-up the scene;

I am driving down the road just enjoying the peace and quiet when all of a sudden I think "hmmmmm, where is that left I need to make?". As anyone else with a Nav system would do I turn on the Nav/Audio system by pressing the main power knob. Low and behold the Radio turns on because that was the last thing I was listening to. I touch the "NAV" button and the screen displays the nav system but the radio continues playing. I don't want to listen to the radio I just want the NAV system on. Alas, there is no way to turn off the audio source. It seems like to use the NAV system you must listen to any audio source (FM, XM or Rear Seat Entertainment. But I just want to Nav. How the heck to I turn off the Audio source but still leave the Nav on.

Recently I just turn the volume really low but that seems totally bush-league.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Thanks,
Joe.

There are some complaints from an old post about the nav system on several different years. Do a search or if you can't find it I'll see if I can track it down. (not necessarily a fix, just other people griping)
