Hi all, new to the forum, just recently bought a 06 Silverado 4x4 that has around 155k miles. I just noticed today that there is a knocking sound when I go through right curves. The sound isn't there when I make a complete right turn, only when I'm going into curves. Anyone out there have any ideas as to what it might be? Thanks in advance.

I'd start with an exhaust check, is/are the pipes banging against something like the frame.

The other thing I'd check is the sway bar end links. They rust and break, check both of them. And while under there, look at the sway bar bushings and clamps. A broken clamp can cause some knocking.

when a front wheel bearing makes a whine noise when turning the steering wheel in one direction then that sound whine is normal when the bearing is worn and rusted. I never had a front wheel bearing make a knocking noise .. could be beaten badly .
