Tonight i spent/wasted 3 hours trying to locate the ignition wire under the steering column, i have wired one previously and forgotten the correct wire. after staring at google posts until my eyes were crossed. "use the orange wire", "use the pink", "no its the brown" can someone help me.

I am only trying to find the right wire to connect my amplifier's remote wire too, any help would be appreciated.

well i am using the factory radio, so i first used a RCA Converter now im just trying to get the remote wire spliced into the correct wire in the ignition harness

I believe its pink wire.. Or so says online wiring diagram.

yea, i've problem is there are more pink wires than just one, i read several different tutorials, pink/orange/brown i've read it all. might just have to to take it to the audio shop and pay for the installation. never had this much trouble before

the "power on" wire does not draw current of any amount, just break out your volt meter and find an accessory wire thats key activated and splice in. Takes a few min to find the right wire from the back of the fuse block, or back of your radio, but its a sure way.

You could always just run your remote wire of your amp to the "Radio" fuze. This will turn the amp on when the radio is turned on. Plus you will not be splicing into any factory wires just incase something goes wrong you can't be blamed. I've installed more amps than I can remember and I always use the "Radio" fuze.
