I found a set of the 4 DIC control buttons that I would like to add to my '08 W/T. Is this possible, or are there special factory sensors and other stuff that also has to be added?

It should just be plug in play, as it is already wired for the upgrade. Check out this thread and it will fully explain it.

From what I've seen of this upgrade, it would probably take less than 30 minutes and could be done with a couple of basic hand tools (screwdrivers mainly). It's plug and play.

It's plug and play, just pull the panel off, unhook two clips ... put the new panel on and plug back in.

If you wanted to do a race, you could do it in maybe 90 seconds with no tools.
By hand, gently remove the dash trim piece that is left of the steering wheel.
Remove the light control switch and dimmer switch, they are just held in with clips.
There are two unused cables connected to the back of the trim piece, these are the ones you will be using for your DIC controller.
Plug the clips into the DIC module in your new panel.
That's it, you're done.
