It's the time of the year that my truck develops it's issues. Now all of the sudden the truck won't shut off until I open the door. When I take the key out the dash shuts off and the shifter locks and everything shuts down as it should, but the engine stays running. I don't have a remote start or anything that screws with the ignition. Any simple fixes or suggestions because I'm camping and can't easily get to a dealer.

I'm sorry to hear about another issue with your truck. You seem to have one of the unlucky ones. Do you have an aftermarket things such as heated seats? I don't know what the issue would be if you don't, but I saw a 2010 suburban once where the wiring for the heated seats overloaded, melted, and shorted part of the truck's factory wiring. This caused the constant 12V power to run to the wire and keep the truck running. If you don't have anything aftermarket like that, I think a good starting place would be to get under your dash and under your hood and take a look at all the wires you can find to see if anything might have shorted out.

Well it seems, annoyingly, that the glitch worked itself out after an overnight rest, but I'll keep this thread posted as to what happens with it.
