Well, he all ready got back to me and GM has not acknowledged any problems with these seats or seams.

So unfortunately there is no legit solution.

I almost think I would personally disable this air bag system since it can not be relied upon to deploy safely.

I drive older trucks thanks ont have these whatsoever and still have excellent crash ratings.

I dont know, there are huge risks either way.
Thanks now to find a way to disconnect the seat airbag without throwing a code (light on dash)

just be super careful, static electricity from your hands can set it off. disconnect the battery and figure out how long to wait before it is absolutely disabled.

there is a way to bypass the bag but I have absolutely no idea how.

I would be very curious what a GM dealer would say or do about this.

I see it as a major safety concern no different than a ripped seatbelt.

just absolutely be careful around that sucker no matter what.
