Hey everybody, I have received great info on this forum before so I’m back with another question.
I have a 2011 Suburban LT with the soccer mom gears and occasionally tow a boat with 150 lb tongue weight and a small travel trailer with 400 lb tongue weight on a weight distribution hitch. The receiver has stretched out quite a bit so the insert wobbles and clanks to the point where it has worn grooves into the steel of the insert making it even looser. I now have to insert a 1/8” shim below the insert and a 1/16” shim on one side to take up most but not all of the slack. I cannot see any cracks but the bottom of the receiver has definitely bent down.
Is this a common problem and what can be done to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info Earl. So did you remove the plastic rear bumper and replace the entire rear reinforcement frame structure or is there a way to just replace the receiver?
