Looking at 2015 GMC Denali with 93,000 miles. Are the later versions as trouble some as the earlier models? I have already had a 2010 that had lifters replaced. Found a real nice truck I am a little hesitant about the engine.

Rod, all I can tell you, is that there aren't any cases, that I recall, on the site.

Our 2013 Silverado has the AFM lifter problem with close to 100k miles. Not sure if anything changed before 2015...

The newer generation seems to do a bit better, we don't see as many of them come into the dealership with AFM issues. You could always get a Range AFM disabler, they work well and a lot of people say it actually improves fuel mileage. They just plug into your OBD2 port to work, if you want to use your AFM system again you just unplug it.

Good to know.
Are you working at the dealership?
Thanks for the info.

Yeah I work in parts at a Chevrolet dealership. We have done a fair amount more of the first gen AFM engines, (late 2007 to 2013).
