If nothing is mechanically different, then the '20 should be the same as the '21, my opinion.

On paper, the 2.7 looks like a fabulous engine; would I tow 6700 with it, probably not.
My 2 cents, it belongs in a mid-size Colorado.
Yesterday I drove a buddies 2021 Sierra with the 3 lit diesel , that's a nice engine.

Would you tow 5,000 pounds? That's what I am towing.
I can not say, my 1st thought is no; but I googled a YouTube vid, and they did all right towing 6700, so maybe I would.
Look at the vid and see what you think.

Here are the numbers without a trailer:

As I said earlier I would love to see that little rascal in the Colorado/Canyon trucks.

Al, I suspect they have the mechanical pieces.

And Ive heard bad things about this year's (2021) engines, the lifters are failing at a high rate.
GM is blaming the suppliers for poor quality control and the suppliers are blaming COVID for poor materials.

Just a note, the Colorado doesn't use the 2.7, that guy would have the 3.6 gas or the 2.5 diesel
