Hey everyone. I am new to the torsion bar setup, since I've only owned Ford and Dodge trucks. I was wondering if I can put 3/4 ton torsion bars and springs under my 1500? The truck is pretty much only used for hauling firewood and need to increse the weight I can put in it.

Welcome to the club. Yes, I have 3/4tons on my '96 Suburban K1500. I've had them on since '96 with no issues.

Thanks for the info. Will the swap raise the front end any? I'm not really worried either way, just don't want it looking like it has little sissy donut tires on it.

It raised my 'Burb about two inches, but the 'Burb was new at the time. Your truck has settled over the years so it MAY lift your truck more than two inches from where it sits now.
