does anyone have info on the required min back pressure for a stock 94 350 tbi engine at idle while still maintaining proper engine operation. (ie no back fire or valve flash)

There's no minimun back pressure Mudpup. All that changing your back pressure does, is moves your peak torque up & down in your RPM range.

However with that much truck i would at least keep the cats in place. since you need all of your power down low and the more open the exuast the higher in the rpms the power is.. And the more open the worse your milage gets.
