Roughly how much less do the 5.3 2 wheelers burn compared to the 4 wheelers?

What year and model are you interested in comparing? I calculated the mileage on my burb once. It was 10 mpg. Thankfully, I don't own a burb for its economy.

It is an 02 5.3 Flexi fuel, I also have a 97 GMC 5.7 4X2 that on a trip will make 20mpg. Am hoping the 5.3 does as good and maybe a tad better.

I drive a '04 Z/71 C/C w/5.3L (non flex fuel) and avg. 17.5 mpg with 60% hwy / 40% city driving. I am a pretty moderate driver, so that helps. Good luck!

as long as everything is in spec there is not too much difference in 4X4 and 2X4 if the you compaired the same upgrades on each vehicle the MPG will be very close to the same. but if you ignore things and drive in 4X4 full time then you get a noticable difference in milage......mike
