I did Cowboy. Thank you though!
It’s a 2500 GMT400. Same everything as with what a 7.4 would come with minus the 7.4. I know the horsepower will increase but I’m wondering about the torque.Adding a supercharge will give you a power boost no doubt, but it will not increase your towing limit. Suspension and gearing will increase that, but keep in mind that there is no way to get your burb certified to up your limit.
Thank you for the response. I’ve no interest in a new truck. I absolutely love GMT400 Suburbans. I’ve heard I want to find a supercharger that will give me low and mid range boost like a roots or twin screw charger over a centrifugal that gives top end boost? What kind was the Procharger you used?I installed a Procharger supercharger on my old 2000 Silverado 5.3. A word of caution: A supercharged engine runs hotter so you need to install electric radiator fans and eliminate the factory fan. Also plumb your intake through a cold-air system, purchase larger than stock injectors (I went from 23 lbs/hr to 46 lbs/hr), get the biggest intercooler that is available and get it professionally tuned. One last thing, maybe just buy a newer truck. I spent $10,000 + on mine (I did the labor) and could have spent more. It never ends. Have fun!!
