i recently bought a 1971 chevy c-10
there is no compressor and the fan belt is very loud at times.
my local shop said if i get a bracket with the pulley or a compressor this should stop.
anyone out there know anything about this?
dont mind no ac but do not like the loud squeeling.

When you say "there's no compressor" do you mean it's missing, or do you mean that it's on there but not working? If it's on there & it's seized up & the ac clutch is engaged, then it will squeal like a banshee.

i bought some stuff to spray on the belts for now at auto zone to make em sticky and it works great, really dont want to spend money on a compressor
