I got a 90 c1500 that i just finished rebuilding. Im wondering if i need the dowel pins for the flywheel to pressure plate connection. or if i have oriented right, can i just use the mounting bolts torqued to spec? Thanks

Strongly recommend using the alignment tool, if that’s what you’re referring to. It’s too easy to get it misaligned.

Yeah, I think he's talking about the pressure plate, not the clutch disk. Honestly it's been so long since I messed with a clutch (30 years ago?) I don't remember if mine had alignment dowels. Hell, half the time I used a broom stick, until I broke down and bought a set of alignment tools, 1 metric and 1 US. Still have them but, don't plan on using them anytime soon, ha ha.
