I have an 89 silverado with 5.7 5 speed.no tags on tranz so im tryen to figgure out what one it is.its 4x4 6 lug 3/4 ton..needs a clutch but i dont want to get the wrong one.the numbers on the case are GM8672286.if that helps..Rik

Look in your glove box and see if you can read the RPO (Regular Production Order) codes. It should tell you which trans you have unless, someone previously swapped it out. Then Google GM RPO codes

So, first, Howdy and Welcome, Rik

The six lug 2500 is what was known as the heavy half in the 73-87 square body years.

take a picture of the transmission and post it here. Side view especially.

Hell i got pics but have no clue how to post them 😳iv been tryen to figureout how but cant seem to🙄im not the greatest at this ****.lol

On my laptop I just click on the paper clip and browse to whatever I want to post.
