'96 1500 driver seat release issue.

The lever release that allows the driver's seat to fold forward, so that passengers can get into the back seat, seems to not catch anymore when the seat is re-positioned after use for driving.

The seat only moves "back and forth" when it is not all the way forward or all the way back; ie., the upper portion of the driver seat remains pivotal.

Is this a known issue and/or is there a reasonable way to fix?
