It's called a relay. It has gone bad, and probably was what blew the fuse. Relays switch the power from a low load circuit (off on switch) to a high load circuit, (4x4 actuator system).

what is the box under the dash for the 4x4 that clicks when u switch 4x4 called? I shut truck off and it was clicking rapidly and killed batt. what would cause this?
