i hope some of you folks can offer me some help on this. :?

i have an 05 Jimmy that i bought with out the towing package.

I would like to tow a small trailer that is roughly the size of a single snowmachine hauler. It would carry about.. 800lbs when its fully loaded. I see that the back bumper is set up to take a bolt-on ball and the eyelets for the chains are there. My question is.. Is there a simple "plug and run" system available whereby i just unplug a connection on the underside of the Jimmy and plug in a connector to get the trailer lights to work??? or do i have to have a garage or profesional do it??

I thank you in advance for any direction or help you can offer me

hope Im not too late to help out. Most trucks have factory connector under the tail end to allow a plug in t connector for trailer lights. you should be able to find your specific connector at a local auto parts store or try a U-Haul shop.
