I did a little bit of research and came up with a TSB - Doc # 1686447 (#04-03-07-004B July 22, 2005)

The document essentially states that it's known that there can be excessive front tire wear on the inside edge of the tire, this can be on either the 4WD or 2WD models. This is for all 2004-05 Colorados and Canyons built before Nov 18, 2004.

Cause:
4WD models z-height trim incorrect, result is toe out specification
2WD incorrect front sum toe

Corection:
Replace tires and fix the alignment problem.
