Hello people, this looks like a great forum.
I just traded in my 02 Silverado 4X4 Ext 4.8 last month on a new 2011 Silverado 4X4 Ext 5.3 Z71 with the 18" wheels and like it a lot. I retired from a large refinery about 10 years ago, work in Quality Control most of life. I also have a 2001 GT Mustang Vert. and a 1992 Kawasaki Concours motorcycle. My location is in Maryland
The wife and I do a lot of camping and the new 5.3 Z71 pulls my camper with ease. Keeping my fingers crossed I hoping GM Quality has improved. I do most of my own work on my past trucks,cars and motorcycle I'm no mechanic by trade, just a old Hot Rodder who been down the quarter mile a few times.
