Just curious how well it works, etc.

Never thought about getting it. I like my quiet time with me and my talk radio stations when I'm in the SUV.
I have three daughters and we decided to get the hand held DVD players for the two oldest ones. That way, they can watch whatever movie they would like instead of watching the same thing (which they never want to do) This has worked out really well for us....but we definitely thought about getting the DVD player installed. Not sure how visable it was from the 3rd row seat either.
Yeah, I agree. It's best to keep all of this technology seperate. Hate to see the technology go out of date before the vehicle is off the road.
We got ourselves a 2002 Trailblazer last summer. A DVD player was a must with all the sports trips we take. The selling point for this vehicle was the built in DVD player. Do not hear a peep out of the three girls in the back seat. Smart package and works very well. :p
Very cool. Where are the controls for that located at? Is it integrated into the speakers, or do they have to have a headjack?
Just purchased a new 2006 trailblazer ext, part of the deal was that they install a dvd for us. we have 2 little ones and it's a lifesaver, my wife and I can now have a conversation. :D
RE: DVD Player

I just recently bought a 2002 Traiblazer and it came with a built-in DVD player and 4 wireless headsets. My kids looooove it! It's nice too because they can adjust their own volumes and we don't have to worry about them turning it up too loud while we are driving.
You won't regret it even if you don't have kids.
