Well we're back in a Suburban! Had a 98 k1500 from 2000-2002 and loved it. We sold it when we bought a class C motorhome (30' cabover with 3500 Chevy/7.4 chassis). Traded the MH, bought a Hummer H2. Nice, cushy, fun ride-but it only sat 6, got less mileage, and only rated to tow 7000 lbs. We got about 12 mpg in it, sometimes less. I just traded in the Hummer on another 98 Suburban, k2500 gmc with the 454/4.10 combo. We're planning on pulling a horse trailer with it so I needed more towing capacity and less payment. We got 13.2 mpg from Dallas to Little Rock, going about 75mph the whole way. I'm pretty happy with that! I loved my Hummer, but the 'Burb is a much better vehicle for anything but rough offroading. I'm glad to see an active forum!
thanks
Richard
