they should be identical, i dont think this section of the truck changed at all throughout the years [88-2000? (tahoe/yukon) i believe]. you want barn doors? i hate mine n want a tail gate, however my wife kinda claimed the truck recently and she enjoys them because its easier for her to operate. so the barn doors stay, I got a sierra n now have a tailgate.

A gap can be adjusted and removed

Well not actually a gap but more of a closing flush issue,they close and lock fine but the right side is not flush with the left.

I prefer and love my barn doors! Makes throwing stuff in the safari rack much easier. Lift gate or glass would be in the way and make that way too hard!

You don't need new doors, you need the hinges adjusted...just like when your doors start to sag IMO

As Beach suggests, adjustment is the answer, if you replace the new one will need the same adjustment
