those side screws that chevys have for the side post batteries.... how do you remove the stripped ones out to replace them..????
any good alternatives to those cheap lead things,,..??

You just push the old post screw out of the rubber cover. You can get new screws at any auto parts store.

Are the heads of the bolts stripped, or the threads?

If the "LEAD" things are stripped out, they are part of the battery. Your only alternative would be a helical insert, called a helicoil, in my humble opinion.
