We were traveling for 2 1/2 months and on the day we left home our drivers door interior handle on our 2008 GMC Sierra failed. We had previous problems with the door and the dealer that we purchased the truck had handled them.

The truck was 2300 miles and 2 weeks or so out of warranty. Once we got to Ft. Pierce, Florida for 2 weeks I wanted to get it fixed and went to the local GMC dealer in Ft. Pierce who told me that they would NOT handle it in warranty even though I had had previous problems with the door. I would have to pay upfront and try and get reimbursed by my selling dealer.

I then went to the Bill Schultz Chevrolet in Ft. Pierce, they told me the service manager would check to see if it could be covered. I brought it in the next morning and they told me they would cover it in warranty and ordered a new inner door panel. Two days later my door was good as new.

I can only say if you have a GM product give Bill Shultz Chevrolet at chance at helping you. I know you will be satisfied, I was more than pleased. The service will far exceed what you will get at the GMC dealer.

Its good to see that there are still some honast and caring people out there. Shops don't seem to understand that doing people favors will generate much better buisness for them. Word of mouth travels fast exspecialy in this day in age. All it takes is one bad report and no one will go there. But even so if its a good report more people will go there. But glad it worked out for you.

Thats good to hear Bill Schultz helped ya'll out.
Most times when your out of warranty it's tough luck it's good to hear the dealer went the extra mileage to get this item covered and didnt put the arm on you.

My wife and I know this dealer very well. We grew up in Ft.Pierce, Florida. We purchased many Chevy's from them because of the sales and service departments. We still get the monthly newletter from our salesman Brad even though we now live in Alabama. If I remmember right the've be there over 50 years. They have many 25 year employee's. There just good people. Its a family owned dealership. The sons and grandson are now running the dealership.
