OK finally got to install the bilstein heavy duty shocks today on my 2001 suburban.... where have they been all my life?... Love the ride.... Don't know if mine were really that bad or these are that good but instead of a huge marshmellow going down the road it's like a big ol' truck with almost 200,000 miles riding on a cloud with total control and no harsh ride at all.... wish I could have had them on for the 750 miles I did last week..... Just completely surprised and happy at the difference it made.

Just checked out the website... the giveaway is for an offroad type vehicle.... need to send in a video..... unfortunatly and thank goodness I do not have any "projects" right now just daily drivers, and well you never know an 89 yj jeep with 48,000 miles.... mmmmmm project????? The 84 cj 8 (scrambler is on jackstands tucked away for my son who is now 4.) but she is bone stock with 21,000 miles.... so I really don't want to molest her at all..

Nice! I just got all 4 of my new Bilstein HD's installed as well, and the ride is incredible! Just wish it wasnt such a pain in the ass to get them!! I will never deal with autopartswarehouse.com again! Not only did they send me the wrong front shocks...but they sent the same wrong shocks twice!!!! Unbelievable...Thank goodness for autozone!

Does Autozone sell Bilsteins??...I see they do indeed! I can save $100+ by buying from allshocks-dot-com though.

Installed the yellow / blue heavy duty shocks got them from aj-usa delivered the were just under $250 that was the best price I could find delivered took 1 1/2 weeks from order to delivery which wasn't bad considering they had to order the rears from the company. There is a coupon code also that ; will need to find it took $5 off every $50 I think or $10 which helped take like $25 off the total price......

Did tires also.. took off the 18 inch at's and put on 16 inch michelin ltx m/s ..... never knew a big truck could feel like a cloud with 200000 miles... in the middle of a roadtrip right now so far 700 comfy miles down prob. Another 500 to go (maybe a few more)

It's our hop in and go anywhere truck... that includes work for both myself and wife where between us we do 170 miles daily... so it adds up.. but we are back actually it is now at 193,500 or so... hit 193,000 miles at mile marker 4 coming down mount washington auto road. right around 1700 total miles in the last 7 days.. kids and wife lasted well. Truck all she needed was gas, new set of wipers and washer fluid 4 1/2 gallons to be exact there were a lot of bird size bugs on the windshield... can"t complain at all.. Did a lot of cleaning bugs and tore a new wiper blade... matter of fact averaged the entire trip including mount washington 22.4 miles per gallon.. (was All highway)
I do not know what shocks were on the truck before they had no tags and were pretty rusted..... except the rears looked stock with the plastick boot/sleeve looking thing on it.
I have a few great pics of the truck (family also) In some great places but can't figure out how to add more pics...
